Ok guys i havent been on here in a while. So i have a few apple trees out back and the apples taste really good nice and sweet with just enough sour to make it good. My question is what should i do with them? Put them in a blender with some h2o and liquify the, or put through a grinder? Not shure what to do here. I am running a copper pot off 220 if that helps any

I think you should make a neutral then grind em up and add the neutral likker to the apple sauce to taste. You could grind em and ferment the juice and then still it but I bet you wont get much carryover, no wait try this......ferment some of the juice you squeeze and still it....and hold back some of the juice to add the neutral to it and see which you like best......the best of both worlds.

This depends on what kind of still you have and what variety of apples you're using. Basically I recomend doing a neutral based spirit and adding the apple after you've sliced it. The longer you let this sit, the more apple flavor you'll have. You can also use this method with any fruit or vegetable you can obtain. My favorites are watermelon chunks, red delicious apples, and peaches. I haven't tried concord grapes yet. Oh before I forget, be careful about eating the fruit after this using this method. I didn't take this into account once and I ate too many black berries. The end result was at least a 9 hour nap, and I had a grass growing type of hang over as well. That's where your head hurts if you hear the grass growing.
