"Hi Folks!
I've been an avid home brewer of beer (and one wine) for over a decade, with 125+ batches in the brew log. It seemed a natural progression to explore other fermentation-based adventures. I procured my extractor earlier this year and have been lurking in many places for knowledge and information. This site has been a great resource! I'm constantly blown away by the similarities and the differences between brewing beer and extracting. The knowledge base needed, process, and tradition, are all fascinating learning. So far the 5L american white oak barrel I've put into service has turned many frowns upside-down. Not going to win any awards mind you, but the septic tank is very disappointed. Very excited about what will come next..."

Welcome Rims513. As long as you have the fermentation down the rest is not that difficult. Depending on what you are making of course. Search and read for answers. If not found ask away. From a fellow New Englander, Good luck and be safe.
