that's right. you can use a hose clamp around the NPT fitting, if that's your set up, to ground it to the keg

or you can drill a hole in the base stand and screw it there too, but dd's idea is best in my opinion, the hose strap clamped around the half coupling that your element is screwed into seems to be the cats ass in my setup too. I'm sure there are many ways to accomplish the same thing but the hose clamp idea just seems to be easiest.

Well I found a bit of a treat! While the packaging of my element claimed 4.5k, upon inspection of the base of the element itself it reports 240v 5.5k! Looks as if one got through the wrong packaging line, lol. Any who, that should put me just under 1.4k on 120v. Sure it wont heat nearly as fast as it would if I threw 240 at it, but I am hoping for a nice decrease in time as opposed to using my 1500w hot plate with diffuser. Great idea on the hose clamp, saves me the trouble of running through a self tapping screw.

And your right, 220 would be faster but you couldn't use the RSC'er with the 220 I dont think. I'm pretty sure it's a 110V thing."
