Welcome Dave. i thought it was cold where I am. WOW. The time it took to get my still I spent reading and more reading and deciding on a easy first wash. This is a never ending learning hobby. Good luck, have fun and be safe.

Hi DRIFTER, I bet it's a short season for Yellowknife Golf Club. Haha. I noticed a lot of sea planes. That must be the best/only way to get around at times.

Yeah the golfing season is pretty short, though I don't golf.
Not your usual golf course either. The greens are imitation turf and the fairways are sand.
The golfers use a small astroturf mat to hit from on the sand.
I do fish and the ice fishing season is a long one.
Lots of float planes around and they are the best way to get to off the beaten path lakes during the summer.

Drifter - Do they have snow golfing up there? In Omaha we were foolish enough to have winter snow tourneys - they'd brush off the Tee and greens on Par 3's and you had to hit it or, else... Used Phosphor green balls that glowed so you had a chance. of seeing the durn thing...

I ran a private country club years ago. Function hall bar etc. Often at midniht those left at the bar would throw 5 bucks in a pot, put their initials on a ball, go out to the first tee and flail away. I was the last one there and the first one there in the morning so I would collect the balls and give the $ to the winner. The $ just eback on the bar the next day anyway. Alcohol makes people do funny things.
