started a batch of sugar and turbo 48
15# sugar 6 1/2 gal water
started good but i left it out in the garage and i think it got to cold out there for it
it took a week to finish then when i ran it tasted bad
so i wonder if the cooler temp out in the garage ruined the ferment and made the taste off ??

Can you describe the taste?
What sort of distilling method are you using?

Even if you have some sort of sulfuric tint or impurity in your batch, you should be able to get a pretty neutral product with some careful reflux stilling ,and filtering if needed,.
