I'm interested in building a much larger column for faster output to make fuel alcohol. I like the 2' and 3' designs like sold by Brewhouse but I would like to make a 4' - 6'. The help I need is in the way of suggestions for column length and diameter of cooling cross pieces. Does anyone know the ideal numbers on those two for either a 4' or 6' diameter column? Since this is to be strictly a fuel still I assume ABS or PVC with stainless mesh or broken safety glass packing will do fine? Thanks in advance for any help.

to the best of my knowledge, PVC is NOT alchohol resistant and will not hold-up in an environment with such high alcohol contents as found in a still column.
