"happy Monday everyone. Friday was a very busy day for me, but i had it off, well i didnt have to go to my pay job anyway. Did some honey doos in the am and around 11am or so drained my ferment bucket into my pot and got the new sugar, water, and corn ready to throw back in to the ferment bucket after the run and adding some back. Got the machine set up, set the burner to low, like barely there and started doing my chores. I do this outside in a secure but open area. It kills me to sit there for 3-5 hours and not get anything else done. So i keep checking back in every so often. Finally starts to drip once in a while so know im getting close. I start to collect and im at about 250 mills when wife says i only have an hour and a half until its time to taxi a group of girls for my daughters sleep over night. ARGHH got to do what ya got to do. I collect for a little more, toss it, then say, well this will now be a stripping run, but cant make myself turn it up that much, but i increase the heat. I collect almost a gallon, with a nice quart of tails. turned it off at 205. It was great! no foul smell or eye burning. Good corn flavor. Little strong on some but a mix with some of the lessor and the tails and it was great. I covered it and let it breath in the garage. family party at the house the next day and we drank half of what i made friday, rest is still breathing. next batch is perking away.
