Quite alright there brother. you owe me a pint though. haha. Just don't call me late for the open bar. I have never had a noticeable odor unless right on top of the bucket. And i have done all sugar, sugarheads and all grain. Left them in my kitchen and no complaints from the wife either. Stirring is a matter of preference. Some do some don't. If you do just make sure everything that touches the wash is sanitized. Oh yeah. I have always used an air-lock.

well we ran both mashes this weekend, my corn recipe 16 GAL mash and the turbo 48 7 day sugar wash 7 gal.
we filled my 10 gal pot will all the 7 gal sugar wash and put fire at 8:30am, I guess it took close to a hour to get hot, started dripping heads, I threw 9 ounces out and started collecting first pint 146 proof, then, 143, 142, 138, 2 135 etc... at 3:00pm it was still going, we were running out of time ( cause we still had more corn mash to run) so I stopped it at 3pm, last jar was still high 99 proof, I wasted some likker there, I could have kept running. I collected about 2 1/2 gal
I dumped my 10 gal pot cleaned it and loaded it with the corn mash, started fire at 3:30pm
now all this time my bud was running the 5 gal pot, he ran from 8:40am till 1:45pm, first jar was 135 proof, his last jar was 88 proof (for his first run) he stopped short too cause we running out of time 1:45pm, he filled his 5 gal back up with the corn mash and he started his second run at about 2pm this run he got jar #1 at 138 proof etc...and at 7:30pm he shut down at around 90 proof - Wasted more again, he could have kept going. so he ran 2 batches, he collected about 2 gal total
my last run was corn mash, like I said I put fire to her at 3:30, I threw the heads, my first jar was 140 proof and I stopped at 7:30pm with a qt jar reading 99 proof - again I stopped short - Waste - We both had to work today
Lesson Learned - I forgot how long it took us in the 80's to run the still and you can't run 22 Gal of wash in one day :-) all of it is sitting in my kitchen airing out for 48 hours
