Just finished a run in my pot still all went great but for the blow outs on my cap I mixed flour and oatmeal sticky and thick and still had blow outs. Only way I stopped it was to wet a towel and tie it around the top of boiler and cap pain in the ass. Any suggestions would be awsome. 4 pints if 160 2 pints 140 2 pints 120. I was happy.

I don't have that kind of still but I'll throw my two cents in. I've seen pot stills with bricks on the top to hold the cap on. I know that's not possible with certain designs. Lowering your heat? but that would effect your takeoff so that might not be desirable. And lastly increase the size of your take-off tube to decrease pressure build up. Good luck and be safe.

You have some great points there I think that's the problem take of tube is to small I'm going to make it bigger I think I stepped it down to quick"
