My freebee keg has a neck with a 2.5 inch diameter flange. Will the 2 inch adapter with clamp fit this keg? do I need the gasket or the o-ring for this modification? Thanks, Jim.

Maybe Rick or someone who has purchased a triclamp adapter can tell me the outer diameter of the adapter flange. Thanks, B.

I would have to measure one to confirm, but if memory serves the 2" tri-clamp ferrule is 2.5" where it clamps together.

Thanks for the information. What are the different versions on the top end of the adapter? I see BH offers a 2 inch male thread. Do they offer a 1.5 inch Male thread? Thanks, B.

"Hey Backwash, from my expirence with this type still there's no need for the threaded connector. Now then if your hearts set on it that will work. No matter what
your tower is made of just solder a 2 inch SS ferrel onto the bottom of the tower and a 2 inch sanitary clamp or tri-clamp (they are the same thing just diff names) will make the connection to the keg. If you look back through some of my threads you will find how I did it and the pics will give you something to use visually."

Heeler, Thanks for the info. I have a 10 gallon SS pot with a SS threaded nipple in the lid, but the lid is warped a bit and may not seal too well. The 15 gallon keg is a better capacity for my ferment size also. Thanks, B.

I tell ya bro that keg and tri-clamp deal is easy and fast. If you connect the ferrel to the tower your done. Now it's time to cook....it's really just that easy so good luck and happy hoochin.

Hahahaha....ur off and runnin then, I recently sold that and got a Polaris Ranger, no more batteries to replace every 4-5 years
$120 a piece. My grandkids were kinda up set but after they took the Polaris for a spin, they rapidly got over it.
