Perhaps a caution is appropriate. Many former Brewhaus/Calgary/Canada customers may be compiling orders to be shipped from Texas to Canada. I have had a sobering discussion with UPS regarding what they call their brokerage fees ,not to be confused with GST & PST,. For example the UPS brokerage fee on a CAN$50 order is something like $29. I'm either going to go with US Postal Service to Canada or UPS to a less convenient state-side address.

Has any Canadians ever been dinged duty on importing Swedish essences from Texas?

I recognize going with USPS to Canada Post means a $5 collection fee to Canada Post as well as GST & PST.

Can anyone remind me what the apparent maximum value of a postal shipment can be and still slip under the radar of our Canadian tax collectors?

I'm looking forward to accessing Gert Strand's full selection again.

Customs sucks, but only because they look over everything. Yup your order will get slowed down, but don't worry about duty. There will be none despite what you think and what they say.
