"Sorry ... I should've given more info. Yes, that's what it's for ... for drying the fuel ... to try to trap those last few percentage points of water that are left. It's supposed to be quite effective. Roughly the same basic idea as carbon filter ... the H2O gets trapped in the pores and the larget EtOH passes through. The last link above has a description of how it's supposed to work & how to use.
I was thinking of using the bottom section of the PSII with a finer screen, a sanitary reducer & valve at the bottom. I have some other still shed issues to work out before I can start playing around with the stuff. It'll be interesting to see how well it works. I also need to come up with a reasonable way to store the output so contact with air is minimized (so it doesn't start sucking the moisture back up again)."

Has anyone tried using grits as a drier? I read some college Papers that indicated grits will absorb only water not alcohol
