If it's not treated I don't see why it wouldn't be ok. You might even try malting some.

I called them and ask the if it was treated and they told me no because they send it down south for planting and the place that they send it to only wants it triple cleaned. I wanted to do a rye batch but not sure if i should just crack it and add it to my grain bill or if there is something different i should do with it. as for malting it do i just do it the same way as one would do with corn?

that's what I would do. crack it and put it in with whatever you are doing and yes you can malt it just like corn

If you have never done this before it can be very dangerous . Ergot is a fungus that grows on rye and other cereal grains. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ergot It is what LSD was made from. And may have been the cause of the Salem Witch Trials .(not kidding) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ergotism please stick to malting your own corn and just buy malted rye

I guess you could but I think the malted barley or malted corn is gonna be of more use in a recipe than the malted rye. I'm pretty sure the rye is just a flavor component and not really used for any conversion.
