I`ve noticed that Wal-Mart has copper coated scouring pads, are they ok for column packing? rcm

sure they prolly wont last long tho, just make sure they don't have anything on them like cleaner or anything. You'll find that the etoh vapor will destroy the coating on them that's why I say they wont last long but just keep and eye on em and replace as needed. Then in the near future when you make an order from Brewhaus add copper mesh to the order and the difference in the two meshes will really stand out to you and you'll say man I should have done it this way to start with....
