Howdy folks,
I'm new at this and new to distilling.
I'm building a reflux still w/ 40" x 2" column, offset head w/condenser.
I have a 15 Gal. SS boiler right now, looking for something around 10 gal.
Plan on making vodka then gin, down the road a bit hope to try my hand at rum.
My condenser is unusual, it has 7 cold fingers 3/8" x 24", straight not coiled in a 2" copper pipe.
There is a 5/32 brass tube inside each "finger" to deliver fresh water to each finger.
First one was a bugger to build but failed pressure testing, currently working on another one.

Hello, your condenser sounds interesting. Would love to see a pic of it. I've been into this hobby for about 4 years and have loved every minute of it. But have been away from this Forum too long. I just had a gin basket added to my PSIIHC and love it. (great job Rick and crew).

Hokey,
Sorry to diverge...but what is your recipe for gin botanicals? (Had to chime in because of no response in the recipe department to this same question).

hey hokey how did they put the gin basket in ? doesn't it go between the reflux and the liebig ?

Yup it does. They cut the tower between the cooling tubes and the take off. Welded he fittings for Tri-clamps fittings at the top and bottom and now I have a basket with a stainless screen on the bottom to add whatever botanicals I want above the reflux tubes but below the leibig.
