hey folks, I live in central canada, and have recently formed a small partnership to startup a small-scale gin distillery. We are just embarking on this endeavour, and are starting from scratch. I have a decade of homebrewing beer and wine under my belt, have an ability to learn and feel that i will be able to dedicate myself to learning this ancient artform. That being said, we havent chosen equipment yet, are just beginning to research the best way to start out... My feeling is to begin with a 15 gal still with 4" flute system, with 4 chambers.( brewhaus)... This seems like a good size to initially invest in, to run many batches till we clear the learning curve and perfect our recipes/ techniques.. Later, down the line... It should still be a usefull size to run small test batches/ experimental recipes, etc...
I would love any advice on starting out... Essential equipment, tips, best places to purchase equipment/ ingredients..., and any other assistance to get started on the right foot
Look forward to the learning ahead...
Matthew
