anyone have a good amaretto recipe? besides using an essence!

Sorry, just saw the request for a good amaretto recipe. This is the one I'm using and I like it alot.
1 cup water
1 cup regular sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons of almond extract
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
2 cups of 80 proof
Combine the water and sugars in a saucepan over a medium heat. Heat until the mixture is boiling and all of the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 10 minutes.
Stir in the spirit, almond and vanilla extracts. Total time is about 1 hour from start to ready to drink ,including cool-down time,. Hope you like it.

do you have to distill this recipe?
also does anyone know a recipe where you dont have to use a distiller?

All you have to do is substitute store bought Vodka for the 2 cups of 80 proof spirit. Everyone that's tasted it, say they can't tell the difference from that Amaretto that they've purchased. Post back and let others know if you liked it.
