Hello,

I've made a couple of batches of kit wine and have become more interested in branching away from the kits. To this end I have started an experiment with 1 gallon of 100% apple juice ,no preservatives or additives,, half a cup of icing sugar and some standard yeast from the wine making section of my local grocery store.

I then went on to read that apples and pears tend to make high amounts of methanol. Will this be a problem? Has anyone else done any juice wines? I'm not at all concerned with the quality - just the warm fuzzy feeling! ;-,

Thanks,

Jeff go to www.winepress.us and click on their forum access and ask ur question there. U'll have a better chance for an answer as this site's forum is more into distilling.
