"Iao valley? Few if any folks here have access to fresh cane.
It should have everything needed, just keep the gravity down 1080 or so. When you have a working recipie post it up. Most of this sort of knowledge didn't get recorded or passed down."

"Ok here is reciep I made this batch almost 3 weeks ago and it is still fermenting
23L 1/2 gal of pure sugar cane juice 60 oz of unsulfated Molasses 8 lbs of dark brown sugar Put in 2 pkgs of 1118 yeast starting sg 1090
The sugar cane juice was expensive paid $30 for a half gallon.
After 10 days I racked it to another pail sg was 1018 at this time Today is 16 day finally looks like the ferminenting is close to over. Will check sg and let it sit to clear for a week or two before I distill it.
will keep all posted on how it comes out"

You can buy evaporated sugar cane juice and save some money on the shipping as you wont be buying as much water. It runs about $50 for a 50# bag.

Glory Bee products. You need to buy it wholesale. I have also seen it on Ebay for about $58 for a 50# bag. Although through GB I get free shipping when I buy at least $400 worth of their products.

Yeah, their shipping breaks are dependent upon your location. It is based upon their current truck routes and delivery schedule. I will order my materials through them even though some of their costs are higher (molasses, vanilla beans) because the shipping more than compensates for the difference.
