"Hey everyone, I have a simple question to ask of you. When using the Pro Series II as a pot distiller, do you still use packing in the column?
Thanks!

Most don't, i have heard, but I like to. Some copper in the path is good, and it seems to even out the exhaust. Even though I used boiling chips, rashig rings, i still get some chugging, and packing seems to even it out.

Sometimes, when I only want to make one run, and am wanting flavor but better cuts, i will use a little water through one through tube only. Just a little reflux. Higher proof."

"Thanks!
Should I filter it through carbon afterward or will I lose some flavors?

"Carbon will strip out a lot of flavors. It is usually just used on product where you desire little to no taste.
