I used my PSII high capacity for the first time today. I used it in the pot still format with two loose rolls of copper mesh in the column. The spirit came off all cloudy during the stripping run. I am using propane. Did I run it at too high a temp. and too fast? How fast should I heat it up? How long should a run take?

My wash is 1:4 molasses to water, fermented out to apx. 6%-6-5% abv. The run started at 55% abv. and ran out to 25% for an average of 45% abv.

I have enough to do four more runs and will get back to it in the morning. Thanks.

Make sure to clear your wash prior to distillation to avoid a cloudy distillate.
