"I am just starting out, just ordered the distillation equipment from brewhaus. I am starting my first fermentation tonight. (already received the fermentation stuf from Brewhaus). Got the gold package.
I used to be a Chemical Operator at the old UpJohn Company. So I know about distillations, but this was with big industrial equipment. One thing I question about all that I have been reading here is No one talks about chilling the receiver? the Distilations can be done in a closed system with reactor and receiver. cooling on the condenser and the receiver helps create a good distillation.

Has any one used Alconox for cleaning equipment before? that is what we used in the industral setting and is in the stores around where I live.

Any way, I can not waite for the unit to arive so I can start learning how to home distill. Snidlywhip."
