"Hi everybody,
I am in the process of buying 150 acres of agriland in Dominican Republic (the island of Haiti next to Cuba).
The gas prices here are already over $5/gallon - you guys in US are just gettin there.
Any ideas of starting Ethanol business based on sugar cane - it grows here by itself.

"In what part of the country are you thinking?
What you´re going to do with it? fuel? drinks? Take in mind that for drinks competing with people like brugal and barcelo is very difficult. In the other hand for fuel competing with the vicinis and fanjuls (owners of the majoritiy of the ""ingenios"" is very difficult. Are you Dominican?

I like the idea of that website but I don't like the price tag. Also it realy not a good option for those of use who live in an apartment (.................... Just rambling, sorry)
