Just for my personal info. is this yeast used for just about everything nowadays? How about the old fashion champaign yeasts. EC1118 etc. Seems like you can use this stuff in practically everything...

The big difference here is that the Turbo Yeast has all of the nutrients necessary for fermentation. With a champagne yeast you must provide adquate nutrition, either through the product being fermented (grain, juice, etc.) or by adding the specific nutrients, minerals, and vitamins that are lacking. Without nutrition, the yeast cannot do its job.
