I made a wash on the 23rd and it is doing nothing 12lbs suger 7.5 gal water and 4 packs of bakers yeast. I still have nothing. looks like clowdy water real sweet though. it started and then quit. can I add turbo yeast to get it started or is it trash? did the same thing with another but I put in 2 lbs of corn meal and 12 lbs of suger I heated the water to 100 degrees ,desolved the suger then added the yeast. It activated then after a few hours very little, then nothing. I dont want to ruin my turbo yeast by putting in this. but I dont want to throw out a wash that is still salvagable eather.

The problem is that there is no nutrient and te yeast does not have the power or energy to convert the sugar to alc. the turbo yeast has its own nutrients so it should do fine. If using a wine yeast or bakers yeast you will need to add some nutrients like sold on this site or at a wine/beer makers supply store. ive also read that you can rush up a multi vitamin that you would take and add it in as a nutrient. Fruits have nutrients already in there for making wine but even then you need to add some.
