"all the hoses till I started.

PS II, I've had this thing for a month. Operates very well in Pot Still mode, tried to use in Reflux and found I'm hosed or missing a hose rather.

Bought the EE Pro II with Reflux and the Gold F Kit.

Tried using in Reflux this AM, ""no return hose"" to configure per BrewHaus instructions; using controlling valve.

I guess I'll buy a 6 - 8' return hose now? Thought about using the siphon hose except it's too flexible!, for my situation."

I dont know why they dont include this hose as i too got hosed when I went to set it up. They are pertty cheap at any hardware store though, I paid $5.85 for a 6' lenght.

"I think I will email Rick at brewhaus tommorrow. He needs to adress this issue. Just charge a bit more and make sure its there. I ordered one as a retro-fit for my high cap. It came with hoses that will fit the ps II but not the high cap. plus no return line. Its a 2 hour journey to get to a store to buy the hoses and return.

I think its an oversight on thier part. They have always heeded any heads up before. Feel free to contact them also."

Just went to thier website, which for the last 3 days gives me error messages, and can't connect. Never had problems before. Hope you all have better luck.

I got through but I did get an error the first time, i emailed rick about this and told him of a few options like including this hose and charging a few bucks more, just throwing the hose in for free or at least just telling us so that we know and can make the decision then and there about purchasing this hose from them or getting it else where.

Was thanked: 8 time(s) in 8 post(s)
We will be making an adjustment to the Water Control System to allow for a simplified approach on the return water.

For those with concerns over the hose from the valve not reaching the column when using the HC unit, simply replace the existing hose (connected to the valve) with the 3' hose supplied with your HC unit. The 3' hose normally connects from the column to the condenser, but with the Water Control System in place it is unused.

"I had the same problem. Missing parts and hoses, But I blame Crosby and Baker for that. Also, the hoses do not fit on the pump. I had to rig a few reducing junction to make it work.

After running my first grappa in pot mode, I think a second pump is a worthy investment. On pump for the condenser and one for the tower. The T splitter is causing a pressure differential that requires constant monitoring.

First run is at 82% abv. Looks clear and tastes a little harsh. I'll run in reflux tomorrow and monitor temps better. /fingers crossed"

"Hi Barry, and welcome.

I just have to ask: Are you really running good grappa into neutral? By running in pot still mode, were you running without packing, and no reflux water? 85% is a really high output for a first run potstill. Are you wanting just pure neutral from your grappa, cause that is what you will get.

Glad to have you here, and do let us know how it turns out."

"I am tuning some bad wine into grappa. (i think)

So far so good.
My first running (less 75ml) was at 82% and after regulating the temp better I'm now running (pot still) at 90%.

I'll run this through reflux mode after collecting about 4 gallons of stripped wine. It has a grapey nose to it and not a bad flavour when watered back, but it turns cloudy when I add water, so I know I need to watch my heads and tails(?)

Steep learning curve here, but I'm a fast study."
