just what type of corn do you use for corn whiskey. Local grocery store sells cracked as well as whole corn feed for wild birds. supposed to be pesticide etc etc free?? Got some local birds addicted to this stuff??

"I've seen recipes that use corn starch. Some of them also have sugar in the mash.

I think any kind of feed corn is okay. The hunting store has deer corn that's pretty cheap. The secret is to fool the corn into thinking it's going to sprout. Then, from the starch in the corn, it makes the right kind of sugar for the little yeasties.
