"I have 5 gallons of old pepsi now im wondering if I can use it in substitute of Sugar water? I want to add a pkg of turbo yeast and hopefully get the 20% alcohol back and run it threw my reflux.Tongue
Is this do able?"

The preservatives in the Pepsi will likely prevent your yeast from growing. Interesting idea, but - wait, I just looked at the ingredients in Coke and Pepsi and there seem to be no ingredients that would act as a preservative. Go for it and see what happens.

Would suggest you shake the carbonation out and then adjust ph. Make a starting sg reading so as to know what to expect. You will need nutrients as well.

Iam going to add 4 kg sugar, since I add 8kg to a pkg of turbo I figure the pepsi is about half that...."

you can check the sg of your pepsi and add sugar until you get to a sg of 1.080

De gas it first, then adjust the ph. If useing a turbo, it has the ph adoptors in it, so no problem. Hope its not sugar free? Sorry, just a joke.
