"Hi all. I'm just a lurker, but have run four batches through my Essential Extractor and I'm very pleased with what I've done so far.
I have a question that may have been answered before, but I was sitting here thinking about copper mesh, and did a web search for copper raschig rings, which are available (not sure how to actually obtain them, however) for laboratory and other extractions.
Does anybody have experience with these? I was wondering how it would work small scale.
Thanks!"

Thanks! Nothing is going to beat good quality copper mesh. Rashig rings work, but only a percentage of purity, and slow. Copper ones would catch the sulpher, but not reflux as well. I have the High Capacity column, and have fantastic results with 2 coils of copper and copper packing around the through tubes which is the most important part of all, and ss mesh for the rest. All cu. would be better, but this works perfect for me. Other still desighns may vary."
