Been meaning to try some new ones but they all call for vodka as a base?? Does this mean TWO bottles. One to turn my neutral into vodka then the second for the flavor of choice??Confused

"Your neutral is better than vodka for the essences.

A word of caution, to not do as I did early on (I'm a tight wad i guess), was to use too high a proof with them. By the time you then cut it down in a glass to a comfortable drinking strength the flavor is diluted. For instance, someone had posted that it was best to use 140 proof when makeing the absinthe with the 2 bottles. By the time you add enough water to obtain the louche, the flavor was really watered down also."
