Makes for a cleaner final product. 3 to 4 tbs. per gallon is good. Best at 50% ABV or less."

I prefer to add it as soon as the low wines are collectected. Then diluted and saved till I have enough of the low wines to make a significant final run. Depends on your need and speed. Whatever size pot I am useing, I like to strip and save enough for a full spirit run."

I've been putting soda ash in as I start the final, but this time I think I'll try adding it as the strip is collected."
