Does anyone use glycerin in their finished product? I was wondering if it made a noticeable difference in the end product at the suggested teaspoon per 5th. I've heard that it will leave a 'metallic' aftertaste. Just wodering if it was worth giving it a try.

Glycerin make a good product a great product. My only suggestion is to buy the big bottle - way more cost effective. A little goes a long way

Thanks Pete! Any problem with a metallic after taste? How much do you suggest be mixed in a 750ml bottle of spirits?

Captain315: Never noticed any after taste, the directions call for such a small amount per gallon that I usually end up just adding 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per fifth. Really works nice on the liqueurs.

I plan on trying it again. I've been using Glucose but it just doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I may have been putting too much glycerin in each fifth before. That may be why I was getting a metallic taste. I appreciate your input Pete.

"I get it from Brewhaus in 16 oz bottles, it gives the product a smooth tast,
Body, I guess you would call it. Feels good on the tung. We keep our brew
in the freezer, and when you pour it, it's has some noticable body to it."
