"Here's my little heat exchanger. The heater core is NOS 1994 Mack. It has a 3 speed 120 V squirrel cage fan off of a old woodstove. I've run it twice now. Before this gizzmo I'd have to add 2 gallons of ice to the water supply to make it and then supply water would get up to 65 degrees F. Running this and without having to add ice, the starting water supply temps have been 49 degrees and then ending temp is 55 degrees. The only question I've still have is what it will do when the ambient air temp comes up in the summer. Right now ambient air is about 50 degrees F. So far so good.

"Looks like a handy little unit.
Very clean and put together too.

As long as your not discharging vapor you will be fine.

Some say it is good to let the distillate come out a tad on the hot side.
Helps the nasties go away.

Did you assemble those parts?"

Yeah, I got the heater core on ebay for $12.01 and /$13.01 shipping :) The rest of it I had laying around in the garage.

I'll probably find out about that this summer :)"
