To get that to work satisfactorily you are going to have to modify the heat control thermostat of wire it to be on all the time. No big deal but it won't be satisfactory out of the box. It is a high quality unit other than that.

Have you knowledge of how a thermostat works, and have you ever looked at the inside of a simple one?

What you will find with this one is that on the highest setting it won't stay on all the time and will cycle on and off. That will add over an hour to your initial heat up time. You can wire it direct so that it stays on high all the time if you could be satisfied with that. I liked to be able to turn it down towards the end of the run, that's probably not necessary but that's what I wanted.

So with that in mind I operated on the heat control. It's not difficult but it is hard to get it just right. At any rate I got mine to where it stays on the high setting and will turn down with the control knob but, by doing that it won't turn completely off with the control knob. You have to unplug it, which I would recommend doing in any case. If you really want to operate on the control I will PM you the process."

OK Steve, If you get the 1500 W from Brewhaus I'll talk you through it, worst could happen is you may have to wire it direct.

Let's not be secretive here.

1. Take the back off
2. You will see the wiring running from the thermostat
3. One wire runs to a single spade connector, other runs runs to a double
4. Move the single wire to the 2nd spade on the double connector
5. Replace the bottom

That's it. Power runs through that wire & the thermistor breaks the flow when the temp is reached. This is just removing the thermistor from the circuit, & it can be undone by moving the wire back to it's original position.

BTW - the e-Bay router controller is a good idea.

the $17 Router Speed Controller is fine.

If I'm reading these instructions correctly, it doesn't look like the wire I'm supposed to move is long enough. Is this double spade near the power cord?"
