i have the essential ext. pro II i am running a whiskey mash set up with both columns like reflux bit running like a pot still with 0 cooling water in column. question regards cuts. i was going for more separation but not as much as with reflux. instead of running hearts at 90% as with a neutral, everything settled down and i ran a long time putting out about 83%. then dropped, temp escalated and foul taste started to emerge. i was estimating my run would act like something in between reflux and pot which it seemed to do. any thoughts??

"At 83%, you are getting some carry over.
Always did prefer the best tool for the job. but you should be getting a decent product.
Maybe not the best tool for say,,,,a pear brandy.
How big was the run?"
