I have done it that way before & it clears wonderfully. I'll have to go back to that with the electric keg.

I usually wait till everything has just about come to a stand still, pop it open and give it a good stirring and put the lid back on. It usually excites it a bit and untraps any pockets, when it slows way down again I cook it.
