I don't think I've ever heard the concept explained any better than this .
'Well you see, Norm, it's like this . . .
A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo.
And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.
This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.
Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells.
But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.
In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.'"

"I think that as a group we are probably in the upper percentile of IQ's and since we haven't applied to MIT, and we are ""chemists"" whom are slightly aloof and discreetly unique, the humor is oblique. Then again, maybe not  . Reviews are in from my ""friends"" say that I need to go again. First run a hit and no blindness reported  Sorry for the absence, women and motorcycles ya know."

I was a nuclear physcisist, then a med. school acceptance at Emory U. then a year at siminary to become a minister. Now I'm thinking I'm going to have to get a hog, or something to get a lady as beautiful as some of you post. My 2 little honda trail 90's and Suzuki Savage haven't done it for me. Ah well, could be the driver has an influence. Hope you guys are enjoying what some of us only dream of. WHOOPLAH!."
