I ran 2-6 gallon sugar wash stripping runs through and both had starting sg's of 1.075 and finished
.990. Both of these came out with 1.25 gallons of low wines, is that normal with the PSII HC. When I go to do the spirit run and put 5 gallons of these low wines in and run full reflux what can I expect to retrieve from this.

"I test using an Alcohol meter prior to final run and use the calculators on Homedistiller.org. It seems to be very accurate. If you know what you're starting with and what the Abv of the distillate.

From ""Distilling"" menu bar then, ""Distilling the wash"", then to ""How much to collect"".

I generally use a pot still start getting distillate at 70% Abv and stop when it drops to below 40% Abv. For me it's no worth the effort to go further. After that dilute to 40%, it's always very clean and smells only of alcohol. I've never had to polish with the stone carbon provided, reading about doing the ""right way"" made me dizzy, a real pain.

I haven't even tried to run in Reflux mode yet, forgot buy a return hose at the hardware store.

Hope this helps."
