I've been using high quality marine charcoal for cleaning water, post distilling, for years. It cleans very well in my opinion. I buy it from PetsMart.

Thanks, also, if you are going to cut the final product with water from say 95abv to say 60 abv, my first product came out at 70 abv what is the purpose of running it 90abv if you are going to cut it back any way?"

"For water distilling I use high quality marine activated carbon. For alcohol I've not need to use any? Should I?, reading the info it seems to be a pain and too labor intensive to me and why bother.

I don't run my distiller as reflux, at this point why bother?"
