"Sounds kinda like ""Neds first reader"". It went a lot faster than I thought. Temp stayed a consistent 77c +/- a little except for 2 drops around the 6th 1/2 qt. to 70c. Man that first stuff smells nasty!!!!Tongue My wash was milky but I attribute that to the cornmeal.

I did this one just as straight as I could, no stripping run, nothing before I ran it. I wanted to have something to compare everything to. I started with 15# sugar and turbo 48, up to 25 L. The wash wasn't sweet, in fact it was nasty too. The distillate is great though. At least for me, hell...I made it!

I diluted 2 of the qt jars (the 2nd and 7th) to about 50%. In one I put sugar and strwberries and the other sugar and pears. For the wife, ya know?

Thank you guys for all the help and information."

"I seperated the run into 8 1/2 full jars. I had 93% abv in jar 2 and 89% abv in jar 7. Those are the 2 I did macerations with. Today I will take the middles and check those. I'm going to make pepper vodka of one and add hickory to one. I'll check the abv and let you know.

I figured to more seperation from the beginning of the run and the last would give me more good middles to work with."
