Yup, before you begin your run boil your pot still with water and clean it like that, works for me, I boil out my rings that way and then I don't have any chemicals to worry about..... get my still clean..

To clean your copper still. worm. etc., either soak it in a little common household vinegar ,or stop up the end and fill with vinegar, depending on the peice you're cleaning,for 20-30 minutes; then rinse THOROUGHLY with clean water!
You will be suprised how shiney and clean it will be! And if you rinse it peroperly, the vinegar will not have any affect on your hootch!
