Anyone got a sore back from drinking shine?

I had a friend say his back is hurting, I was wondering if its related to moonshine? Could strong drinks 80% hurt the back or give a sore liver? Im guessing it could but probably unrelated. (I usually make my essence drinks 80% not 30-40% like they call for on there recipe) Is it the drinks?  I use white sugar and Turbo yeast run threw a copper reflux still.(silver solder)

Small amounts are fine, but you need to be careful about drinking 80%, alcohol poisoning and all.

Ive done some shots of 190 and never had a problem. By some I mean 1 here and 1 there but not a few in a row.
