"I ran this a lot slower today and got a consistent 93% from start to finish except I was in a hurry and ran the last bit without water in the top of the column. I have a PSII. It tastes soooooo much better than the stuff I ran so fast in the beginning.

My question - the temp got up to close to 90 on the last part, I was running the tails and just trying to get as much out as possible. Should I put this on carbon and let it sit or add it to the next run? I doesn't smell bad but I don't know..."

My preferance is to save all heads and tails , with the addition of bakeing soda added, till enough for a seperate spirit run. Preferably in a glass carboy. Cut it to 40 to 50% and run a spirit run. Good stuff. Imperative you learn the cuts by smell and taste for this. Not necessarily while it is being run, but collected in small jars, aired for 24 hours or more then tested. Combine to taste. Carbon then if you desire cleaner. After cutting to 50% or less. Then flavor as you desire, or not.
