For the best and easiest method go to new distiller forum and do a search for Glenmorangie clone- Author, Harry. Its in 3 parts and is a full step by step process, start to finish."

"10 parts malted barley
7 parts un malted barley
1 part rye
1 part oats
1 partwheat.

use 2 pounds of the mix per gallon for the mash

mash at 140 degrees for 90 minutes

cool to about 80 degrees F then pitch yeast

Do not get tempted to boost the alcohol content of the mash. it comes out naturally at about 7+% potential--Trust me on thatBigGrin

Tripple distill in a pot still. .

age on oak for?????

i intend to use carbon filtering and oak chips on my next batch

the simpler and perhaps not the best way to filter with carbon is described in the book ""moonshine"" by byron ford. page 23"
