"Has anyone used Honey Granules in a wash? You can find them at http://www.breadbeckers.com and they are honey with sucrose. I am going to start a batch with them today using 15# of the granules along with the Prestige 48hr turbo. I will keep everyone posted on the results. The wash should resemble mead when it's finished fermenting. I am going to try to get it to 16-18%, then I may keep some to drink straight and distill the rest in my easystill.

What filter media would you use to clarify the wash for drinking straight? I don't want to waste any carbon but I do have access to 5 micron filter bags."
