I am building a distiller using a keg. What is the best option for a heat souce? I have a propne burner, but would rather use a hot plate. Would this work with the keg that has a rounded bottom??

No! Propane or internal elements for a keg. Propane is best if you are doing grains, brandies and flavored spirits. Internal is great for clean and cleared neutral sugar washes."
