I use a plastic 20 gallon garbage can, it will heat up by the end of a run and I throw a couple of frozen milk jugs in it. I don't think the material makes a lot of difference since its the heat from the condensor that gradually heats up the water supply. Some have added a heater core and fan to the water lines to reduce the heat and extend supply of cooler water. Either that or a bigger water supply unless you have an abundant supply of cool water, like your own well or something like that where you can get a continuous supply of cool water cheap you are pretty much stuck with just increasing the size of your supply container. Is that kind of what you were asking about?

Yah works fine. I fill it about 1/2 full & start. If I'm stripping or running in cool weather this is enough. In warm weather when the water warms up I add some more to the tank to cool it off. It would be easy to add a spigot so you could drain & refill as you go to keep temps down during multiple runs. In hot weather if you are making runs over multiple days & using the same water you might need a cap full of bleach to keep the algae at bay.
