"Do I need to boil Activated stone carbon in distilled water (to clean it), or can I use tap water. I ask because I was told to use distilled water to dilute the alcohol due to the impurities in tap water that cause cloudiness.

I'm just trying to prevent a cloudy product ya'll!"

All I have used is tap water. After filtering I boil it and pour it off twice. Then cook it in the oven at 400 F. for a couple of hours. I've used the same carbon for 4 times so far and I get crystal clear product.
