I am making my first batch. A sugar wash. How long can it sit in the ferminter after it is through bubbling. I get called out on my job sometimes so it is hard to make a schedule. Thanks

"If the wash is done and you need to let it clear,,but just don't have the time because of work, you could add a bit of nuetural to bring up the abv. This will ensure it does not get moldy on you.
But it should keep a couple of weeks."

I usually dump the fermenter into 6 gal carboys for settling. I airlock it & 2 weeks is no problem.
