If I want to run my spirits through the relflux distiller one more time to make them more pure, do I simply clean out the distiller of the old wash, dump all the spirits back in (except for the heads), and fire it up, or do I need to add something to the pot (ie More distilled water?). Confused

"Open flame?
Definitely dilute to 40% or less.

Lectric?
Better safe than sorry. Dilute to 40% or less (or not)."

Yes, I'll be using my propane burner. I'm assuming that diluting to 40% would have the potential of distilling higher quality spirits that would once again need to be diluted to 40% when done. Correct?Confused

"Yes.
But more important,,,, any thing over 40% while using an open flame could surely send you to the pearly gates if you spring a leak or some such catastrophe."
